Bournemouth vs Aston Villa Premier League 2015 Predictions and Preview Who Will Win 08th Aug 2015
Aston Villa’s first hurdle this weekend will be the newly promoted Bournemouth and it might just turn out to be a tricky affair. The newly promoted side has been in a spirited form for the latter part of the last season in the championship. On the other side, Aston Villa has just about scraped through the relegation battle.
Last season was not especially a memorable one for the Villa Park lads as they struggled through out the season to stay out of the bottom three. The things got so bad for them that their former manager Paul Lambert was sacked bringing in Tim Sherwood to replace him. Thankfully Sherwood got them through in the end but it was not an easy journey for them. To make things worse, their only genuine threat last season, Christian Benteke, has left the club and will be playing for Liverpool coming season. Along with that their will be a gap to fill in the midfield as well, with Fabian Delph leaving to join Mancehster City.
Bournemouth on the other side, has has an unbelievable last season. Someone who might be happy with a mid-table finish went on a blitzkrieg and secured the top spot in the championship, automatically promoting them to the Premier League. The manager, Eddie Howe, will be looking to make most of this opportunity and would like to start on a winning note. Bournemouth do have some premier league experience within their team and they would be dependent on them to guide the youngsters through this experience.
These two teams last met each other in the FA cup last year and Villa were the ones that went ahead in the tournament by ending up with 2-1 scoreline. Villa would like to replicate a similar performance on the coming weekend in order to get their campaign off to a good start.
Things that are running in Villa’s favour are the lot of new players that are coming in, which might lift the morale of the side. For Bournemouth though, starting the campaign at home would be a big plus. Even though the stadium can host a paltry 12000 people, having the fans support you would surely help the newly promoted side.
