The secretary of Board of control for cricket in India Anurag Thakur, has given warning to Pakistan cricket board, that the knot between India and Pakistan to play cricket can get affected if due consideration is not given to the security of Indians. Further to this Thakur even commented to ANI, “Cricket cannot continue along with the terror attacks.” This may pose danger to the lives of common man and to the cricketers as well which is not at all acceptable.

Thakur also criticized the attack which took on Monday and said that life of an Indian is much more important that any cricket. This seems to be the priority of everyone around the world and hence should be taken care off above everything. As per the schedule set by Future Programme of International Cricket Council, some of the matches between rivals are fixed consisting of two test matches and five ODIs that shall be held in any of the neutral venues. This series was scheduled to happen in UAE, but after the attacks in Punjab happening of this series has become quite uncertain.

Statements were received after the attack occurred in Punjab on Monday, where four terrorists dressed like army officials attacked a bus and police station in the district of Gurdaspur. The area where attack occurred is adjoining to the border of Pakistan. Thakur further criticized the attack on Twitter and gave his comments on the social media to express his anger. It was quite surprising to see that such an awful event took place in the country, causing danger of life to many of the people living in.

The attack has undoubtedly affected the decision of both the countries to play friendly matches with each other. The last bilateral series which took place between the nations was in 2007, and now it is quite uncertain if the future bilateral series between the nations will take place or not. The decision completely lies in the hands of Board of Cricket Council of India and Indian government, who may give a green signal only if security of none of the citizens is affected due to the matches.
