England vs Australia 5th ODI Predictions and Previews Who Will Win 13 Sep 2015

England vs Australia 5th ODI preview and prediction

Oh so the last game of the series will decide who will win the series? We are hearing that all the tickets of England vs Australia 5th ODI are already sold out in advance. No one wants to miss the game. England now has the opportunity to win the ODI series along with the test series that they have already won. Australia on the other hand is under a ton of pressure, if they lose the ODI series too then this will be the last time that some of their senior players will wear the national team cap.

Australia after winning the first two matches of the ODI series thought that they are going to easily bag the ODI series and people will say that their test series loss against the England team was just an unfortunate incident; they are after all the better team. But that did not happen. England came back very strongly at the last two games and the way they are playing, they are the favorites to take the series, and commentators are saying the world champions Australia has to work hard to save the series. This is without doubt one of the most testing times in recent Australian cricket history.

In the 4th ODI, Australia started on a great note, for the first time in this series their captain Steve Smith won the toss. They decided to go for the batting first, which looked like a great decision since no team won the match in this series batting second. But that was the end of good start for the Australian team. They lost first 3 wickets very quickly which included the captain. Many commentators started saying that Australia may not even reach 200 in 50 over.

But then the two veteran batsmen Glen Maxwell and George Bailey took control of the innings and scored 85 and 75 respectively. It was because of their innings that Aussies were able to reach the target of 299 in 49 over. This was a good total in any wicket. But since England batsmen are in great forms many already thought that they would be able to chase the target. England came to bat and Australian bowler Cummings was able to send Alex Hales back to the pavilion for a duck. But after that England was able to form some great partnerships for each wicket and by 25th over it was very clear that England is going to win the match.

England captain Eoin Morgan scored a brilliant 92 and he was later declared man of the match. England won the game by 3 wickets. Now Morgan is so far the best discovery of England cricket team in this series. If he is able to win the ODI series by winning the England vs Australia 5th ODI then he will definitely give some great challenge to Alastair Cook as far as ODI captaincy is concerned. Even if he does not win the series, he is definitely now a good contender for ODI captaincy.

England vs Australia 5th ODI is now going to decide if Australia can get back their lost glory by winning the ODI series or England will win it all this year. Australian players are not looking good and the nervousness is clearly showing on their body language. It will be a full house at the stadium and if rain stays away then we can expect to watch a great match between two old rivals. One team will win and one team will lose and we can say at this point that England is in a better position.
