India tour of Sri Lanka 2015 Comeback of experience spinners in Indian team

In the list of Indian’s spinners against Sri Lanka one of the men whose age is 35 years has been included who was a part of a test match in the last year. It also includes a 32 year old player who if gets selected in final IX shall get a chance to play first match in four years.

Harbhajan Singh, is the man who took six wickets at 42.5, while the other man Amit Mishra took 10 wickets at 20.4. These men have agreed that they have revived back after performing in IPL. It is much appreciated that these players have continued to achieve so much at this age.

Soon Sri Lanka tour is going to begin, and it is expected that the spinners are going to have 19 tests under friendly conditions. Opposite to the expectations of many when people were expecting India to be flooded with spinners, however on the contrary they have to turn back to their two men who have left playing long time ago.

Further to this, Ajit Agarkar commented, it is surprising to see the team turning to old spinners like Harbhajan and Amit Mishra. It is even more terrifying to find out that no good spinners are available in the Indian team to come forth and play. Amit Mishra was discarded from the matches because he was slow and off the pitch, and now picking him is not as worrying as finding out that there are no spinners available in the team.

Other spinners are also available, but the worst part is they are not available because of many reasons. Ravindra Jadeja had a whitewash in series with Australia, while Pragyan Ojha who took ten tickets is surrounded with various problems on which he is further questioned by the board. Axar Patel is another spinner for India, while Sunil Gavaskar has a different opinion to it. According to him he does not have the right flight and you never know where his ball lands on the pitch. It seems this time experienced spinners are going to take the lead and bring out the best results for Indian team as a whole.
