James Faulkner faces a trial for his drink and drive case

The day of 21 July 2015 will see the Australian talent James Faulkner facing a trail in the Manchester court.  He will be presented in the court as he was arrested and charged with drink and drive case in the beginning of this month.  Faulkner is playing the county side Lancashire and is not the part of the ashes tour of the Australian team. He was held with the drink and drive charge while he was arrested in the beginning of the month of July.

The greater Manchester police breathe analyser test shot up to 0.10 whereas the legal limit is nearly 0.035 in the United Kingdom. His 0.10 was nearly three times the legal limit. Either he could be faced with a six months imprisonment, or he would face a one year driving ban. Apart from it, an unlimited fine might also be charged against him. Due to his act, he has faced ban from four of international matches.  He has also been skipped out of the selection of the national’s team for the upcoming one day international. The England and Irelands series which will begin after the ashes tour ends will also not see Faulkner participating in it.

At the time he was arrested, Faulkner accepted that he was wrong and all the charges that were held against him were accepted by him. He remarked that he would bear any punishment that comes his way he was surely guilty of what he was charged about. He mentioned that he surely had let his fans and people down and there is no way out of it. He was not in a situation to make any excuses or to get out of it. It was a bad judgement to drive in that condition, he remarked.  He sincerely put forth his apology and was ready to accept any punishment that the cricket Australia will hand over to him. He put forth his apology to the relevant authorities as well.

Faulkner’s performance is a testimony to his budding talent in cricket. He was awarded with the man of the match in the world cup’s finals where Australia beat New Zealand to bag the cup. Faulkner’s Tasmanian teammate, Paine, who is presently playing in England for club cricket during the Australian off-season was also along with him in the car while he driving drunk. Australian cricket put forth their resentment and disappointment against Tim Paine.
