Kevin Pietersen made a record 42 runs of 26 balls in his first Caribbean Premier League 2015 match on Monday. This seems to be a great addition to his career. Kevin is not preferred as a good batsman in England for his eccentric behavior. He recently signed a deal with St. Lucia Zouks after he left Surrey. He made a record 42 runs of 26 balls to add to the score. The target was 179/6 against Red Steel as the tough competitor.

Though the match was going towards a good progress, the rain played a spoil sport and forced the match to be called off when Red Steel was bowling. Both the teams gained a point each according to the Guardian. Kevin who was born in South Africa was also given great hopes of being recalled internationally by the ECB chairman Mr Colin Graves if he could score several runs in county cricket matches; however Andrew Strauss debated on the topic saying that Kevin could not be selected due to various kinds of behavioral issues. Petersen is an experienced cricketer who has 104 test matches and 136 one days to his name. He has also played for the national squad until his contract was cancelled by the ECB after England was defeated by Australia in 2014.

Kevin has been playing as a top order batsman for teams like England, Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils, Dolphins, Hampshire, ICC World XI, KwaZulu-Natal, Natal, Nottinghamshire, Royal Challengers Bangalore, St Lucia Zouks, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Surrey.

He has been a well known batsman for his great strokes. Pietersen’s stay at the crease ended he was out by Badree in mid wicket. His partner Cameron Delport was still on the crease. His team finished with 179/6 and Andre Fletcher scored 57 runs for 49 balls.
