Man United vs Aston Villa Premier League 2015 Predictions Who Will Win 14th Aug 2015
Manchester United will start their away matches, with a fixture against Aston Villa, at one of their happy hunting grounds. United, having won their last game will like to build on the momentum so that they can have a contrasting start to the one that they had last year.
However, United does have a few areas to look at; first and foremost the forwards. With only Wayne Rooney upfront there is a lot of onus on him to come through. However, he hasn’t really looked the fearless striker that he is and has hence looked pretty toothless. He would like to change that and get amongst the goals soon enough. Another area which might be a bit testing for Louis Van Gaal is the central defence. The Central defence would never look settled unless and until Daley Blind is in there. Chris Smalling put in a terrific performance last match however Blind was frequently getting caught out of his position. This is something that needs to be addressed and with Marcus Rojo coming in, the situation might change eventually.
But there are equal numbers of positives to look at too. All the new signings played in the game and most of them impressed as well. The one who impressed the most was Matteo Darmian. With his intelligent play going forward and exceptional positional awareness at the back makes him a perfect wing back or full back. Morgan Schneiderlin and Michael Carrick, though a bit rusty at the start, settled well in to their roles. One of the surprises was the inclusion of Sergio Romero. He was a bit uncertain at times, but did do his job by keeping a clean sheet. It has been said that Van Gaal would like to continue him in goal and put De Gea on the side lines again, against Villa.
With their next fixture against Newcastle, United would want to have all the nine points in the bag by the end of next weekend, but they would like to seal the victory at Villa park first. Aston Villa on the other side also won their first match against the new comers, AFC Bournemouth. However, the proposition against United will be totally different. Without Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph, the team looks a mellowed version of itself. However, the win in their first game must have given them a boost which shall help them fight for the win.
