Oman makes exponential return by making it to World T20 Cup in India

Oman Cricket team has a racked up a debt of $2500 as they have created a history by making it to World T20 Cup to be played in India. The debt which the team suffered due to loss of cricket balls during net sessions has ended in a 100 fold return as the participation fees for T20 World Cup event costs for $250,000. A training session was carried out on Wednesday inside a tiny cricket ground where Oman players launched the ball many times over the wire. However as the players tried to go over the fence, the official warned them as it was a private land where no one was allowed to tress pass. The manager of Oman team also broke out in panic as the cost for balls was $125 each. Many balls were lost during team training sessions and ultimate cost came out to be $2500 before start of a tour. However the team has been able to recover the cost as they were able to beat Namibia and seal their maiden berth to the ICC T20 world cup. It was a brilliant match winning knock by Zeeshan Siddiqui who scored six fours and two sixes which got them into the tournament which costs otherwise $250,000 as a participation fees for any associate country. It was all nerves for the team all around as they missed out three catches and also missed an easy run out chance on Thursday. Namibia team was looking comfortable for 70 runs with loss of one wicket in eight overs. In a nervy chase, Oman team made a great comeback with an amazing fight displayed by the team especially Siddiqui who played lots of boundaries and sixes. The team coach stated that he told his team to think that match is not played live and don’t be nervous. It was an amazing win for Oman as the team has made for the first time in any cricket championship.
