In a recent interview to NDTV channel, Sreesanth said that he has an appointment with secretary of BCCI India, Mr. Anurag Thakur and looking forward to filing a request to lift the ban.
He was hopeful that his request would be considered, so he was filing the application. Sreesanth is waiting for the call from BCCI India secretary and hops that his next meeting with BCCI India would be a favourable one. He has played Test and ODI cricket for national cricket team and was also part of squad which won 2007 T20 World Cup. Speaking about the trauma which he had to go through after being arrested, he admitted that he was thinking about committing suicide and was able to overcome after devotion to Lord Ettumanoorappan (Lord Shiva from Kerala’s famouse Ettumanoor Mahadevar temple). After getting released from Delhi High Court, Sreesanth expects better response from BCCI. Neeraj Kumar, Delhi Police Commissioner and head of ACU, who ordered for arrest of Sreesanth admitted that he is a human being and deserves second chance. Srresanth believes that there is nothing in front of his path and BCCI India is a body, not individual. He also said that he doesn’t want to challenge anyone by play cricket so if the ban is not lifted then he may approach the court. He also added that he will start practising on any other ground not owned by BCCI till the time ban is lifted and will not play at any BCCI ground till the time ban is lifted from him.
