Tendulkar to be a part of MCA’s new Cricket Improvement Committee

Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar is one of the best cricketers that India has seen in long time. His retirement was definitely a very sad phase for cricketers, the member of the cricket board as well as his fans. However, it seems that now we will see more of Sachin in the coming days. Sachin has recently been selected as a member of the Cricket Improvement committee of the Mumbai cricket association. He would be a special invitee and would be attending of the important meetings to see what is going on and to give his suggestions, whenever he is available.

This was recently announced in a media conference by CIC Chairman and former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar on Thursday when Sachin was convinced to join the committee and share of his suggestions and views on cricket and how it can be improved. The panel of the committee consists of various cricketers like former India Captain Ajit Wadekar who has helped Mumbai win in several matches in 1960s and 70s, domestic batsman Amol Muzumdar , former Test batsman Sanjay Manjrekar who was once upon a time a skipper of the 40 times Ranji Trophy champions, former India woman cricketer Diana Eduljee , ex-Test batsman and coach Pravin Amre, MCA Managing Committee member Deepak Patil and many more.

The Cricket improvement committee would be appointing coaches for all age groups and the senior team as well and a director for the indoor cricket academy. The following three months are very decisive for the next cricket season, said Vengsarkar. A disciplinary committee would also be formed and all cricketers, big or small need to abide by the laws. Surya Kumar Yadav was dragged out for certain behavioral issues with some teammates and he also lost his captaincy. The same happened with junior cricketer Sarfaraz Khan where his fees for playing a match were held back because of misconduct.
