Turmoil banned in IPL cricket scandal
It was on Tuesday, when Supreme Court appointed a panel to suspend two of the teams within eight teams who were found to indulge themselves in illegal betting during the matches. The teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were hoping to get away with the allegation by paying off heavy fines. However chief justice, Rajendra Mal Lodha announced about banning the teams from next two editions of the tournament.
Their decision after all brought out questions on integrity of the game, owing to which this strict decision was taken for the teams and the tournament as a whole. Moreover the son in law of Narayanaswami i.e. Gurunath Meiyappan the franchise owner from Chennai and boss of International Cricket Council has been banned for life from all the activities related to cricket. Something similar to this was sentenced to Raj Kundra, who is also the co-owner of Rajasthan team.
Lodha further commented “The act of three people within the game, has affected reputation of the tournament and also players within the game. This was revealed and found out by the panel of three who were appointed to give verdict on IPL scandal. The panel was not concerned of the financial losses borne in the game, what is more important is l game.
This decision might have a huge impact on T20 league wherein some of the biggest names from cricket have been bought forward and questions were raised on playing and integrity of people associated with it. It is not yet clear, as to when the franchisee will be sold and players in those teams can again have their participation in IPL.
It was in January, when SC appointed Lodha as the head of panel wherein both Raj Kundra and Meiyappan were found guilty of indulging themselves in false methods of betting in the year 2013. Moreover, Srinivasan was also expected to be withheld from holding any position in BCCI where he was a president since three years beginning from 2011.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have won the tournament in the year 2008 which marked the beginning of IPL. It was in 2008, when the team was captained under the guidance of Shane Warne and bought out the best performance within the team.
